Kids Meal Deal: the Cafe at Central Market

New Deal: If you're shopping at Central Market with kids, you may want to stay and have a bite to eat at their cafe when you hear the deals available at two store locations.

In Dallas, kids meals are free Mondays after 4 p.m. for under 18 with the purchase of an adult entree. Kids meals include fruit and a choice of macaroni and cheese, quesadilla, chicken sandwich, pizza, and grilled peanut butter and banana. All entrees except pizza come with fries. Drinks are extra ($1.50 for fountain drinks, $1.29 for milk or juice). Central Market, 5750 E. Lovers Lane, 214-234-7000

In Southlake, kids meals are free Tuesdays after 4 p.m. for under 12 with the purchase of an adult entree. Kids meals are a choice of grilled cheese, chicken tenders or hamburger with fries or macaroni and cheese, spaghetti and meatballs or pizza. Drinks are extra ($1.49 for fountain drinks or milk, $2 for juice). Central Market, 1425 E. Southlake Blvd., Southlake. 817-310-5600.

Try clearing your cache: In Firefox, go to Tools / Clear Recent History. Check the "Cache" box and uncheck all other boxes. Click "Clear now." In Internet Explorer, go to Tools / Internet Options. Check the "Delete browsing history on exit" box. Select "OK."

If you are using Internet Explorer 7, make sure Phishing Filter is turned off by going to Tools / Phishing Filter / Turn Off Automatic Website Checking.

If you are using Internet Explorer 8, make sure InPrivate Filtering is turned off and InPrivate Filtering data has been cleared. To turn off InPrivate Filtering go to Tools / InPrivate Filtering Settings, select the "off" button and click "OK".

To clear InPrivate Filtering data

Go to Tools / Internet Options.
Click the "Delete" button under “Browsing history” on the General tab.
Make sure "Preserve Favorites website data" is unchecked.
Make sure "InPrivate Filtering data" is checked.
Click the "Delete" button.
Click the "OK" button to exit the Internet Options window.
Refresh the page.

I have to be honest. I have eaten at the Central Market Cafe in Southlake several times and have always come away disappointed. I love Central Market and all their delicacies, but their hot food from the cafe has been tasteless and terrible every time. I keep trying it occasionally, hoping it gets better. After the last tasteless attempt, I am done. I will stick to all the yummies in the store and go home and eat.

The one in Plano is better because they have a great sandwich counter.
