They have good tea (Alhazaleen (sp?)) is one I like) and really good olives. The people working there are usually pretty helpful. I hope you let them know about the article so they can be ready for increased traffic.

Their selections of olive oils and fruit jams keep me coming back. They also stock (hard to find) Angelo Parodi Portuguese sardines. They are the best! And, so much more. All priced less than anywhere else.

Kim,

Great report my wife and I were there just on Monday at opening (9 am). We stocked up on what we needed for several recipes. The cashier, who happens to be Russian, was very helpful in our determination of fetas letting us try them before you buy them. She also talked to us for a good 10 mins about all the products she likes. She told us to look for Armenian preserves as they are only second best to the Greek ones which can be very expensive. She also said the honeys from Russia are very good and worth the trip down the aisle! I really enjoyed the Morrocan dry cured olives they have. The prices on the olives seem to be about $1 - $3 / lb cheaper than the chains like Central Market and they are well kept/watched. Thanks for the report!

Thanks, Kim for your video tour of Zituna. Further to my above post, while in Zituna on Monday, I took advantage of their $6.99 (all you can eat) buffet. Everything was fresh and delicious!

We love their meat counter. All of the meat is ultra fresh and the prices cannot be beat. Usually, if they are out of something (like boneless, skinless chicken thighs), we can ask the butchers in the back for more and they will fix them up while we shop.

Also, their spice prices cannot be beat. Incredible deals there!

It is a beautiful, well-kept market.
