Just got off the phone with Robert Colombo: He closed his Oak Lawn restaurant The Club on Saturday night. This may be a temporary closing, he says, while his company reconsiders the concept. Colombo brought in talented chef Amador Mora to spruce up the restaurant's food in May, and Mora, according to Colombo, will remain with the company (which also runs Trece and Villa-O). Plano Tavern was affiliated with Bennigan's. I wondered how long they would last after Bennigan's fate.
Mizz Gubbins over at Pegasus also tells us that Tahitian Noni is closed. Here's the link:

Who cares about the club? Just got confirmation on NBC local news, Brothers Chicken has closed. I officially have no reason left to live in East Dallas.
See ya. As bad as it is here, we dont have it as bad as many other cities.
