It's sounding like it. A reader swung by today and said he saw an odd sign on the door directed toward the restaurant's suppliers. Also, no one is answering the phone, and there's no voicemail. I'll update with confirmation if I can reach an owner or manager.

I enjoyed the decor of the restaurant, but the it was really ameteur hour in the kitchen and with the waitstaff. And it was super expensive. You're not going to make it as a Far North Dallas steakhouse unless you really have your act togtether.
We went by last night and there was a padlock/chains on the door with a no trespassing sign...I'm really not surprised. The place went through so many management changes just in the first few months of business..it was really poorly run.
I actually got a tip on this yesterday and had the same phone experience you did, Bill. So I called the sister restaurant in San Antonio (I think) and was told it had not closed. So much for corporate communications.
I'm not surprised. My husband and I went twice to Ounce (it was right by house), and both times we regretted the experience and wished we crossed the parking lot to Mi Piaci instead. On our second and last visit, I asked the market price was for a caviar appetizer they had listed. The waiter smirked at me and said, "If you have to ask, you can't afford it." My husband and I were appalled. Truth is, we could afford it, but I like to know how much something costs before I order it. The snotty attitude was too much; we never went back.
