Best in DFW: Your favorite seafood restaurant?

Bill Addison   E-mail   News tips

Dallas Fish Market swordfish.jpgNorth Texas may be landlocked, but that doesn't mean we don't love seafood. Do you have a go-to spot for fried catfish and shrimp, or oysters, or an indulgent dinner of in-season salmon?

Post a comment on your thoughts about the best seafood restaurant in the area below, or email us at dining@dallasnews.com. We'll publish some of these comments in a print version that will appear in a future issue of Guide.

It took a hefty amount of driving and chowing for us to select our critics' picks: Seafood restaurants are more prolific here than one might expect. And since seafood spots are generally divided into three price and style tiers - seafood shacks/oyster bars, mid-level eateries and fine dining ventures - we took care to sample and ultimately include a broad mix. We're sure you'll have plenty to say about those we did and didn't include.

Here are our faves:

BayGrill, Frisco
Collin County's BayGrill gets the nod for ably filling that hard-to-find niche: the mid-priced neighborhood seafood restaurant. You can sup on fried catfish, blow it out on jumbo Alaskan king crab legs or find an admirable entree (cedar-planked salmon, chili-rubbed shrimp) in between. Look to the blackboards for frequently changing specials. Great desserts, including a gussied-up version of Key lime pie with macadamia crust.

Cafe Pacific
The 28-year-old Highland Park Village favorite is perpetually crowded with well-dressed couples and multigenerational families who may think nothing of dropping three figures for dinner for two. A recent review found the restaurant in solid form. Highlights included the simple, clean-tasting fruits de mer platter; a lively ceviche of shrimp, scallops and lobster meat; onion-crusted sea bass; and precisely executed Atlantic sea scallops over a lush lemon-butter sauce.

Dallas Fish Market
Executive chef Randy Morgan brings whimsy and global-mindedness to this downtown restaurant with chutzpah. Pairing fish with unexpected ingredients is his strong suit: Brown butter's sweetness teases the smoky notes from grilled swordfish, and the crunch of shaved fennel and almonds offsets the fish's dense texture. At lunch, try BLT jazzed up with delicate skate wing and avocado.

J&J Oyster Bar, Fort Worth
Inexpensive spots that feature raw, fried and grilled seafood are fairly abundant in our area, but none hit the mark as high as J&J: The cornmeal batter on the fried oysters and catfish was the most sheer and crisp among those we recently tried, and the raw oyster option added a sexy new dimension to seafood cocktail. Two must haves on the combination plate: the restaurant's signature crawfish sausage (which does also include pork) and the righteous house-made, skin-on fries.

Oceanaire Seafood Room
Oceanaire, a modest national upscale chain, sets the area standard for fresh, luxury seafood. It is as expensive as a steakhouse, and as with its carnivorous counterparts, it dazzles with simple preparations that let the ingredients speak for themselves. The crab cake, full of plump morsels, can barely hold itself together. Our server on a recent visit declared Alaskan black cod the "new Chilean sea bass" because of its high oil content. Finding the fish rich and gently flaky after being lightly grilled, we were ready to jump on board that trendsetting observation.

Pescabar
Alberto Lombardi's new seafood extravaganza in the West Village is so new it hasn't yet been formally reviewed, but it nimbly makes the list: This is the kind of stylish yet comfortable seafood restaurant Dallas has been lacking. Early favorites include the already-famous crab gazpacho and daily-changing grilled fish specials (Dover sole particularly impressed). And halleluiah that a local restaurant finally got the concept of crudo (sashimi with restrained Italian flavorings) down pat.

S&D Oyster Co.
Opened in 1976, this Dallas stalwart says classic in more ways than one: Inspired by New Orleans' seafood houses, its timelessness is helped along by the building itself, which dates to the late 1800s. Shrimp and oysters dominate the small menu that's as tightly focused as the staff. We love the oysters on the half shell (dabbed in the cocktail sauce made tableside), fried oyster po' boy, and the signature celery-laced shrimp salad. Come early or late for lunch.

Sea Breeze Fish Market and Grill, Plano
Two words: lobster roll. In a Longhorn take on this New England staple, the luxurious claw meat spills over the top of what looks like a piece of Texas toast lopped off at the knees. Three more words: fish and chips. The fish's beer-battered crust is so fragile it shatters at a touch, cracking open to reveal the steaming, succulent flesh within. The cooking reveals fine dining-level expertise, but the place and prices are patio casual.

Truluck's
A restaurant that must have been born under the sign of Cancer: If you stick with the crab at Truluck's, you're bound to leave happy. A recent Monday night gorge on all-you-can-eat Jonah crab claws from Maine rendered us over-sated, since the deal also includes as much soup, salad and sides as you can consume. Another worthy splurge: butter-poached Norwegian King Crab, featuring large, mouth-filling hunks. The crab cake fashioned from blue crab is, of course, a model specimen. What? Don't eat crab? Go for the Prince William Sound sockeye salmon while it's still in season.

Alligator Cafe on Live Oak for blackened catfish and fabulous crawfish etouffe, as well as homemade root beer, fried green tomatoes, and live music.

Chamberlains Fish Market Grill is by far the best Seafood Restaurant in the Dallas Area! Freshest Fish, King Crab, Lobster and Oysters. I eat at all of the seafood restaurants in the Dallas Area and they are hands down the best.

Posted by kbec @ 9:02 AM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

Thanks for including Trulucks! It is not avant garde but always enjoyable and delicious. I am shocked that Hook, Line and Sinker and Aw Shucks didn't make the low-priced list. We also love McCormick and Schmick's in Northpark, and Lefty's in Addison.

Posted by MVM @ 9:18 AM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

Cafe Pacific is a classic. One you left off is Lefty's in Addison. GREAT food in a nice, relaxed atmosphere.

1.Aw Shucks
2.Nate's
3.Lefty's
4.The Point on Lake Temoma

Vincent's in Plano. Best coleslaw EVER! All of their seafood is VERY fresh too!

Posted by Jerry @ 9:56 AM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

For low cost we enjoy the Seafood Shack on Webb Chapel near Forest. Plenty o good fried selections but check out the talapia mojo de ajo ($10 lunch special) or sauteed fish tacos. Lots of more traditional Mexican seafood dishes too that I'd butcher the names of but that are wildly popular (E.G. Giant goblet full of mixed seafood swimming in a cold tomato broth.) Well worth a stop by.

Carribean Cafe in Frisco, Fishmonger's in Plano, Trulucks. Guilty pleasures: Arlene's Katfish in Sherman, and Long John Silver's. Can't believe I just admitted that.....so be it.

Which restaurant can we find steamed clams at?

Chamberlain's Fish Market Grill
Oceanaire
Cafe Pacific
S and D
La Calle Doce

Chamberlain's Fish Market Grill in Addison should have been on the list. It beats the ones listed by a mile. Don't take my word for it though. Try it for yourself, and try all the others on the list and see how much you trust these so called best lists!

NEWPORTS! It's an intimate setting and delicious food. Very classy, it's always packed.

Thanks for the good review Shelly, I was suprised Chamberlain's Fish Market was left off the list as well. we have been a main stay in Dallas for many years, are active in just about every charity event, only buy the best quality ingredients, employ over 100 friendly employees and have consistent sales better than most of those mentioned. by the way Shelly, watch me on the today show in New York on Sept. 15, I will be doing a segment on Texas Cooking.

Posted by Mae Whitten @ 11:12 AM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

1. Nate's
2. Rockfish
3. Aw Shucks

and the Seafood Shack mentioned previously is a gem of a find. You be tempted to not want to sstop but do. You won't be sorry!

Posted by Carla Mathy @ 11:20 AM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

"The Best" has become just another cliche at the Dallas Morning News. Other than Oceanaire, S&D and Cafe Pacific, this list is a JOKE!! Dottie Griffith is sorely missed!

Posted by Mike @ 11:55 AM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

I second the Seafood Shack, a great neighborhood place.

Posted by Jill @ 11:55 AM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

The skate wing from the Dallas Fish Market is one of the best and most memorable seafood items I've ever had.

Posted by bmk @ 12:16 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

Can't believe you left Newports off the list. It would be one of the tops in Dallas on my list.

Posted by allison @ 12:42 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

Newport's deserves to be left off the list. I went this past December and would have had a better meal at Chili's.

Posted by Nancy @ 12:48 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

Alligator cafe for reasonable and very good seafood.

Posted by KellerTX @ 1:53 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

Aw Shucks (Greenville) I love all the shrimp choices, cold peal and eat, hot peal and eat, fried...it's ALL good.

La Calle Doce (12th Street in Dallas)I love the seafood stuffed chile relleno here, but it's all great!

Very casual places with the best food!

Posted by JAC @ 1:55 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

How was Dodie's on Lower Greenville overlooked? Certainly not the "pretty" place like Cafe Pacific or Oceanaire, but the *BEST* catfish and crawfish that you can find in Dallas....hands down!

Posted by peter dunkin @ 2:16 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

aw shucks/big shucks blow.
flying fish in preston center is best "cheap" fish joint.
Dallas has no good upscale seafood..Le Bernadin [nyc], Nick's Fish Market[chi]hell bob chin's or shaw's for that matter, Aqua/Farallon [s.f.]. Dallas is far behind on five star seafood.

Posted by BradT @ 2:16 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

Great list. Totally agree on Cafe Pacific, S&D, Oceanaire, Truluck's and Pescabar. Can't wait to try the others on your list.

Posted by Landon @ 4:02 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

Why no mention of Remington's in Addison? This seafood restaurant has been run by the same family for 3 generations. No fancy presentation and huge prices but just the best, absolutely fresh seafood and very good service. A old classic that is still excellent to this day!

Posted by Amy @ 4:17 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

McCormick & Schmick's at Northpark is a very solid seafood restaurant and deserves inclusion on the list. I'm surprised it hasn't already been mentioned.

Posted by spenbro @ 4:23 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

Gotta love S&D Oyster Bar!!!

Posted by Chris @ 4:50 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

It may not be fancy, but Hook Line & Sinker on Lemmon never disappoints, and there's almost always a line so they're doing something right.

I'm glad to see Oceanaire on the list. It's a terrific choice.

Posted by Mike Mcneese @ 4:53 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

I love Fish Express at the corner of Preston and forest. Their huspuppies, mahi tacos and Chipotle salmon are my favorites. Plus it is inexpensive unlike the other seafood restaurants on that list.

Posted by Nick Polanski @ 4:57 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

I agree about Fish Express. I love their seafood gumbo. Only thing i do not like about that place is that they do not have beer or wine.

Posted by Alison Mintz @ 5:00 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

Dallas Fish Market is GREAT!! I love their Crispy Fried Lobster and the Lobster mac & Cheese.

I am very diapointed in the lack of comments about Lefty's in Addison. It is the BEST place to go if you want to step out of the.The chef is brillant!!!

Posted by lindsey parija @ 6:31 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

thankyou for including leftys awsum!!!

Posted by Stephanie Davis @ 6:38 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

Dallas Fish Market hands down is the best out of the list. Chef Randy does fresh, seasonal and unpredictable seafood. I get so tired of the same thing from every seafood place, this is refreshing. I think that it is great that the same seafood places that make the list simply because of their name did not make it. Way to go Chef.

Posted by The fish monger from Boston @ 9:24 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

I believe if you eat in the chefs room at the Manison you might find some of the most original, creative and most inventive seafood in Dallas. Just one mans opinion
cuttle fish, line caught striped bass cooked salt crusted less than 48 hours old, whole fish cook over charcoal, fish cooked in cast iron with the skin on ! fresh shellfish from all over the world, langostines from scotland, Texas farm raised shrimp uni from San Diego, etc etc etc ......

Posted by NP @ 11:10 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

Though is not a seafood restaurant, Perry's on Routh street always has fresh fish. They even have their own seafood specials menu. It is always a nice option to have great seafood at a steakhouse, especially during the hot Texas summer.

Posted by leslie @ 11:46 PM Fri, Aug 01, 2008

What's not to love about Lefty's? Great food, either on or off the menu, atmosphere, people.... It's a great "Cheers" type place. They are extemely accomodating and if you are looking for great seafood and steaks at a reasonable price, this is THE PLACE.

Check out the website www.rawoysteralert.com. I was shocked to learn that several individuals die each year from the consumption of raw oysters that are contaminated with naturally occurring Vibrio bacteria. Some gulf states have chosen to not take action in order to make raw oysters safe for ALL consumers.

I love buying fresh seafood from TJ's on Preston Rd. Always fresh and gets the creative juices flowing. Mmm... Scallop Scampi is calling my name!

Best seafood in Dallas is at local places, I stay away from chains. Try these;
Vincent's - Plano
Daddy Jacks - Greenville Ave
Lefty's - Addison

Razzoo's has got to be considered. It's great!

Posted by Lee Singletary @ 4:28 PM Sat, Aug 02, 2008

Obviously none of the commentators (except you, Bill) so far have tried Bay Grill: Most consistent fish dishes, reasonably priced, we have found since Sea Grill (Andy Toon) went out of business a couple of years back. Now, if we could just get John to understand that wine IS an important part of dining. Other great seafood would include Chamberlain's, Go Fish, Mercury Grill (Glazed Cod and a Halibut dish recently were extraordinary) although not known as a Seafood restaurant, Mignon and of course Abacus. Roy's has to be considered, although it is only one style usually. Newport's used to be excellent but it has been a while since we have been there. Oceanaire is just too expensive for what you get compared to some of the others. Strangely enough, some of the Steak Houses (Capital Grill and Del Frisco's) have excellent fish dishes, but not enough to be classified as a Seafood Restaurant.

Posted by Jennifer @ 6:47 PM Sat, Aug 02, 2008

Lefty's is by far the best seafood and steaks, not only is this a family place it's also a great date place. I agree with Leslie that Lefty's is a restaurant where everybody knows your name, "Cheers". As for the food my husband loves the Chowder and the Lefty's pasta, my daughter loves the grilled shrimp and lobster and for me I enjoy the specials of the day and/or fish tacos.

Posted by Yvette @ 1:53 AM Sun, Aug 03, 2008

Oceanaires portions are HUGE compared to the others, especially if you consider the quality of product as well. Well worth the money. I also inquired about gulf oysters and they don't carry them because of the high risk factor. I love this place! I am amazed at all the different fish on the menu... and it changes daily! Something for everyone.

Posted by Logan @ 9:12 AM Sun, Aug 03, 2008

Thank you for leaving Newport's off your list. I don't know how good it used to be, but it definitely needs some revamping as of late. Yes, i like it alright, but in no way is the best of DFW.

Posted by Joe Doaks @ 9:29 AM Sun, Aug 03, 2008

Bay Grill that's an easy choice

Posted by KMW @ 12:10 PM Sun, Aug 03, 2008

My family loved Hook, Line and Sinker. Their catfish is great, as are their shrimp cocktails. It may not be fancy, but the food is great!

Posted by Cork @ 4:19 PM Sun, Aug 03, 2008

Lefty's in Addison remains my favorite for seafood in the Metroplex. Others are trendier or flashier, but none matches the fantastic, consistent food of Lefty's.

Posted by cuchiarra @ 6:15 PM Sun, Aug 03, 2008

BayGrill in Frisco is a hidden gem. Crispy Redfish & Cedar Plank Salmon are excellent. They have best Key Lime Pie that I have ever tasted.

We need to go back about 40 years to when Jay's Marine Grill was still in Oak Lawn. I miss those rolls, too.

I love Hook Line and Sinker!

Posted by Donna @ 8:12 AM Mon, Aug 04, 2008

We eat at the Rockfish at Campbell and Coit at least once a week. Although not fancy, everything is always perfectly prepared and you can't beat the prices! Everytime we eat at a fancier seafood restaurant in or out of town, we can't help but decide that for a much higher price, it's not as good as the Rockfish around the corner from us.

Posted by stevem @ 8:15 AM Mon, Aug 04, 2008

Chamberlain's Fish Market Grill is way out in front.
S&D
Cafe Pacific
Roys

NATES' on midway, famous for red snapper topped with large crabmeat, homemade fries never frozen, and incredible hush puppies and garlic bread comes with every entree

Are you kidding? How could you leave Lefty's off the list? The atmosphere is great, the staff is always accomodating, and they have some of the best king crab, ahi tuna, and oysters on the planet!

Posted by Lee @ 9:18 AM Mon, Aug 04, 2008

Don't overlook Fort Worth in the seafood stakes. For upscale, try the panko-crusted sea bass with mussels at Bistro Louise. Far more casual is Flying Fish, like a lakeside fish shack closer to town. Anything is good, but standouts include the broiled snapper or barbecue shrimp platters with black beans and rice and grilled veggies. Yum!

"J&J Oyster Bar, Fort Worth" - Ft Worth has it's own newspaper and food writers, let them pick their favorites and clear 1 space in the DALLAS Morning News Favorites list. How about Newports? Have these reviewers been so wooed by hip, trendy Uptown they have forgoten the old school places? Pescabar? Come on, it hasn't even been open a month! Look, I'm just as much a fan of Mr. Lombardi as the next guy, but really - give it a minute, would you?

Chamberlain's Fish Market Grill is by far the
BEST!! We have visited Chamberlain's many
times and have never once had a bad experience.
The food & service is outstanding.

Posted by sdavis @ 1:44 PM Mon, Aug 04, 2008

I have to agree with Jill about the skate wing at Dallas Seafood market. That is a dish that is hard to find in the States. They prepare that perfectly. That restaurant is suprisingly impressive. For my Texas Gulf Coast fix it is S&D all the way. For Cajun, Alligator Cafe seems authentic.

Posted by Impiltdownman @ 4:08 PM Mon, Aug 04, 2008

I'm surprised no one mentioned Mainstream Fish House. And there's a little secret called Seafood Shack on Webbs Chapel and Forest specializing in Mexican seafood. Great Mexican seafood cocktails, good gumbo, good catfish. Fried shrimp are not as good as Hook Line & Sinker but then no one else's are either.

We eat out every night and the ONLY restaurant we go to every week is Remington’s Seafood where we have done so for over twenty years. I can honestly say I have never been disappointed - never had anything that was even a little bit off. It’s not high-end but consistently excellent quality. Lefty’s is also in this category.

The very best seafood lately was Saturday evening at L’Ancestral. The special was Sea Bass with a Caper Sauce. My husband also ordered it (unusual) and it was the very best Sea Bass and the very best Caper Sauce I have ever had anywhere! I can still remember the wonderful taste. They ALWAYS have excellent scallops and Trout Amandine.

The best high-end all seafood restaurants are: Oceanaire and McCormick and Schmick. The best low-end seafood restaurant is Big Shucks on Coit just south of Beltline. They have excellent scallops, a Dungeness Crab and shrimp platter, and what is actually a seviche with tiny shrimp marinating in a sauce with three levels of spiciness, which they call a “shrimp cocktail”. It’s still a young restaurant but consistently excellent.

Other high-end restaurants with consistently excellent seafood that we frequent regularly are in alphabetical order: Arthur’s, Avanti, Lavendou and Mercury Grill and Popolos.

Our three favorite places for seafood are (1) Remington's in Addison. The fish is always fresh, tasty and consistent, with excellent service and management;(2) Oceanairre for special occasions--we love everything about this place-food, great waitstaff, and menu--their bloody Mary is a meal in itself; (3) Sea Breeze in Plano. The food here is second to none, every dish amazing, and served in the most casual order-at-the-counter setting but a bit expensive for such a casual setting.

What about Aww Shucks on Lower Greenville? Best Shrimp Cocktails EVER! And Daddy Jack's on lower greenville as well. The best whole lobster and lobster potato cake in the world!

Remington's, REMINGTON'S, REMINGTON'S. I ventured in to Remingtons a few years ago after passing by the place for years and found out what I had been missing. It has been my favorite ever since. They have fresh fish, great service and value. The owner is usually there and has a daily specials menu that is always great in addition to the regular menu. Don't make the same mistake I had. Try it now! The food is fantastic.

For catfish, Topcat is our family favorite. I've never found anyplace that is better as far as catfish is concerned. We used to love Newport's, but were disappointed last time we went there, so we haven't been back. We like Pappadeaux's a lot (even it it is a chain)

Remmingtons has been a family favorite for more than 20 years. Always reliable and great. Great people and service

Remington's in Addison is always dependably excellent in seafood choices, style of preparation and taste. However, as good as the seafood is,the smoking hot apple pie ala mode on a steamy fajita skillet is the best. All with Henry Ice Cream.

The consistently best seafood in the area can be found at Remington's in Addison.

My favorite place to go to eat seafood is Remington's Seafood Grill. Their food is excellent. I recommend the RAINBOW TROUT ALMONDINE.
The service is excellent, the food is fresh and it is delicious.

I love Remington's for freshness, selection, and quality of food. Last visit I had lobster bisque and it was outstanding. Plus it is quiet enough for normal conversation. (transplanted New Englander)

We live in Temple and Remington's in Addison is our favorite seafood restaurant in DFW. Always consistant in food and reasonable prices.

Remmingtons has the best copper river salmon you have ever eaten. And please try their hot Apple pie. Yummy....

Nate's in Addison has great seafood. They have crawfish when it is in season too. Nate's has a fun atmosphere and they have good live music. A great place to go for Copper River salmon when it is in season is Culpeppers in Rockwall. The chef there really knows how to prepare delicious seafood.

Lefty's is the absolute best seafood spot in DFW for my money. Excellent food, great staff and very reasonable.

Sea Breeze in Plano has the best fish we've found in Dallas. Zero atmosphere but outstanding food.

Posted by Carrie aka Blondie @ 10:40 PM Sun, Aug 10, 2008

Lefty's is the best! I always refer to it as my "Cheers"! Nothing better than great food, followed by good people! The barteder aka "Zu" is always in good spirits, and Gus is the icing on the cake!

Flying Fish in Addison is very casual, seafood cooked fresh. The oysters on the halfshell on Sundays for 25 cents each is a real bargain along with $1.50 domestic bottled beer.On Wednesday pm, they have all-you-can-eat fried catfish for 8.95, a great deal if you are really hungry. We visit at least once monthly.

Something has to be said about LEFTY's,a
family owned, popular neighborhood seafood restaurant that's competed for 13yrs against
the glitzy chains that exist in Addison. Exceptional fresh seafood at affordable prices. Friendly Staff & owners that will customize
just about anything you order,Lively
atmosphere with gr8 music. Lefty's is my kind of place.

Remington's Seafood is the greatest. Food is excellent and service is be far the best in town.

Chamberlain's Fish Market Grill is the BEST!!!

I am originally from the Northeast and have been in Dallas for over 14 years. We have visited Chamberlain's many times and this is the best Seafood available anywhere in the Metroplex. Seafood is not fried anything, it is broiled, sauteed, baked and must be fresh which is what Chamberlain's always delivers.
I have never once had a bad experience.
The food & service is second to none of these other so called competitors...Don't settle eat the best...

The newly opened, Villa O, in the Travis Walk area, has THE best seafood... not only is the food great but you actually feel like you eating on a luxurious Yacht! The Seafood Risotto is my favorite because you get a little of Everything you love in one dish! love love love! You, also, cant beat that the menu is all organic.

Posted by Gary @ 1:50 PM Mon, Aug 11, 2008

I agree with Courtney! Villa-O is amazing and along with the Italian Sea Bass, which is light and delicious, the Wild Salmon and Mussels are my favorites. Go and see for yourselves, it doesn't disappoint.

Posted by Susan Rutherford @ 1:57 PM Mon, Aug 11, 2008

Vila-O, one of the newest restaurants in Dallas! Villa-O has outstanding fresh seafood. The mussels are to die for! It was a long wait, but, believe me, it is worth the wait!

Chamberlains Fish Market in Addison. Chef Chamberlain is simply put "THE BEST". For Catfish, Crazy Catfish in Garland. Best Catfish in town. Done perfect! Man behind counter is always so friendly

No mention of Fish City Grill?? Great oyster nachos that are unmatched! Daily specials that change 2x daily to accomodate seasonal fresh fish. Fish Tacos are the best in town!

Bay Grill is great. You can't go wrong with any of the seafood entrees or specials ... but, if you're in the mood for a good steak, don't overlook their filet. It's perfect as well.

Posted by Bill @ 12:33 PM Fri, Aug 15, 2008

Fish City Grill is awesome. Chalkboard specials, fish tacos and oyster nachos are great!
Reasonable prices, too.

I love that there have been so many comments about REMINGTON'S. I am a loyal customer and often find that many people have never tried it. They have been in Addison almost since the beginning and the quality and service are hard to surpass. They have a wide variety of seafood, not just 3-4 different dishes, and it is always fresh. You need to try REMINGTON'S!

Posted by N @ 2:09 PM Fri, Aug 15, 2008

Even though they are mainly known as a top place for sushi, don't overlook Tei Tei for seafood in general. The seasonal Branzino, fried whole sole, and other cooked seafood dishes are not to be missed. Always very fresh and well-prepared.
