Tina Danze weighs in on this week's beer find: Woody Creek White WHO LIKES IT: Mark Monfrey, Artisanal Beverage Co. STYLE AND ORIGIN: A new seasonal Belgian-style white beer from Flying Dog Brewery in Colorado and named for a well-known bar in Aspen. True to the traditional style, coriander and orange peel give this wheat beer a refreshing flavor on the citrus side. The finish is crisp and clean. "There aren't very many of this style of beer brewed in the United States," Mr. Monfrey says. THE PITCH: "This beer is perfect for hot weather - the dog days of summer. This would be a great beer with scrambled eggs. (Here's my new recipe: Fold basil pesto into soft scrambled eggs.) And why not beer with breakfast? Especially if it's a late breakfast shared with friends," Mr. Monfrey says. GET SOME: A six-pack of 12-ounce bottles sells for about $8.99 at Whole Foods Market (Greenville Avenue and Arlington stores); Dallas Central Market; Sigel's; Goody Goody; Spirits in Deep Ellum; Majestic in Addison; S&K Beverage in Plano; Mr. G's in Plano; and Hall's Grocery in Colleyville.
