August 2, 2008Ordinarily, I'm not thinking about Ovaltine when I shop Fiesta. But there was that wonderfully retro, malted-chocolate drink mix down on a bottom shelf at the Jefferson Boulevard flagship yesterday. Also, the Rich Chocolate flavor. Besides the fantastic selection of fresh and dried chiles, I found Ataulfo mangos (one of the best-tasting varieties), which come from the Yucatan according to Miami chef and mango maniac Allen Susser. They were two for a dollar. Key limes were 99 cents for a 2-pound bag. If you're planning to make a lot of enchiladas or tacos, Fiesta's house-brand corn tortillas are 99 cents for three dozen or 100 for $2.19. That's a deal.
