Chef-owner Gilles Perrette has operated a crêpe stand at the State Fair of Texas for the last two years, and he's planning on being there again this year. Perrette's vision for his new spot is to offer inexpensive, true-minded French fare (he's from France's Burgundy region). Savory crêpes are made in the traditional style, using nutty buckwheat flour. Soups, quiche, sandwiches, and salads are all available to go, too, with many of the foods on display in the style of markets found in the south of France. Right now, the restaurant is only open for dinner, starting at 4 p.m. (It's BYOB at the moment as well.) Perrette said in a phone interview that he's committed to organic and local ingredients. He's a regular these days at the Dallas farmer's market. The place has been open for less than a week, so I need to wait a bit before I swing by for a crêpe Complète (egg, ham, roasted potatoes and gruyere). If you check it out, let me know. |

I am glad a crepe place has opened again.
We had one in Dallas years ago and it was always busy.
Good luck and I will be there.

Felicitations a Mr.Gilles Perrette on his new restaurant-creperie, I have been looking for a French Creperie for some time and I will surely bring my family to taste the original crepes, hopefully they will taste like home, I am from Brittany(Une Bretonne de Carnac)and we enjoy the crepes with the traditional bottle of cider(du cidre)maybe Mr.Perrette will surprise us with that also. Congradulations et success on the opening of the "Normandie Alliance" Une Francaise a Dallas Marie-Noelle M.

We went to Normandie Alliance last night and were very impressed. Good quiche and how can you go wrong ordering a nutella crepe? It was awesome.

I went to Normandie Alliance last night with a group of 6 people. We tried almost everything on the menu and enjoyed every bite. The zucchini goat cheese soup was fantastic as was the quiche Campagne. Don't leave without having a nutella crepe! The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Went to try something different and healthy... and got both as well as a great experience! They just openened and have a few kinks to work through, but the food was great, and isn't that what it's all about? Try all of the soups, but the Zucchini soup and the Carrot soup were awesome! The Crepes were very good, I had the Chicken/mushroom and my wife had the Ratatouille and they were both scruptious. They have a great patio that will be sure to be a hit once the weather cools a bit. Can't wait for them to open for breakfast!

I eat there on a regular basis, and always find the food and atmosphere to be delightful.

I didn't know anything about French food so I thought I would give it a try. I had the Quiche Lorraine, the Complete Gallette, and for desert, Crepe Tatin. Everything was excellent, and inexpensive. Delivery to my apartment was quick and free. I look forward to dining in next time.

Great Restaurant, outstanding quality (all fresh and healthy), phantastic price. Their Crepes and Quiches are all outstanding, their ICE-Tea a delight. Perfect lunch or dinner place. We now have been there 3 times in the last week and will definitely come back - it does not get much better then this.

How wonderful to have a creperie closer than Paris. I have had many nutella and banana crepes in the shadow of Notre Dame. At least I won't have to go so far this time.

After our first visit the other night my wife and I are very excited about it. Although it is in the new and opening phase and seems more like a true French bistro that some Dallasites might not care for, and the location is not that great, the food is excellent. Chef Giles also is going slowly to keep the price down and food this good at that price is unbelievable here. Later he hopes to expand the menu.

Had a wonderful lunch on Tuesday. Brought in a bottle of Guigal Crozes Hermitage white Rhone which paired well the zuchinni and goat cheese soup. My dining companion had the potato soup. Both were fab! Then we shared two different kinds of crepes and a chocolate and banana crepe! Glad to finally see an authetic crepe place in the Dallas area. Recall fondly in the old days the Magic Pan in Northpark!

Monsieur Gilles -
Cordialement,
Justin et Kati
