Summer doesn't even officially start until June 21, but already Dallas days have hit 90-plus degrees for weeks -- it was 101 on Sunday! And what does such heat make us crave?
That's right: ice cream. More specifically, the splendidly frothy drink known as a milkshake. Although some of Dallas' legendary milkshakes have vanished into history (farewell, O Prince of Hamburgers!), other local milkshake magicians remain to make our Texas summers a little cooler and more delicious.
Please share your favorite Dallas-area milkshakes with your fellow readers by emailing us at jharris@dallasnews.com and include a daytime telephone number, so we can contact you for a future story in the Taste section.
