Italian-born author, restaurateur and chef Cesare Casella (who owns Maremma in New York) will be visiting Central Market in Plano this Saturday, April 5, to lead an 11 a.m. cooking class and sign books. He is the author of Diary of a Tuscan Chef and True Tuscan. Cost of the class is $35 and reservations may be made by calling 469-241-8300. Chef Casella also will visit CM in Southlake on Sunday, April 6, for a free demonstration at the store's Epicuriosity Station, 12 noon to 2 p.m. Also, Robin Miller -- star of the Food Network's Quick Fix Meals -- will visit Central Market Dallas on Thursday, April 24. She'll be doing demos at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., followed by books signing. Cost of the demo is $25 and includes a copy of Robin to the Rescue: Quick & Simple Ideas for Delicious Home Cooking. For reservations, call 214-361-5754. Another 4 p.m. book signing is free, with no reservations needed, but the book must be purchased separately. |

Robin Miller... think I'm going to have to miss that one. She kind of scares me. Has anyone noticed that Food Network is becoming more and more lame by the second?
