The International Association of Culinary Professionals has announced the finalists in its annual cookbook competition.
Fredericksburg chef Rebecca Rather's The Pastry Queen Christmas is a finalist in the American category. And her pal Paula Disbrowe co-wrote another book that's a finalist in the same category -- Crescent City Cooking by Susan Spicer.
Sweet Myrtle and Bitter Honey, by Efisio Farris of Arcodoro in Houston, is a finalist in the first book category as well as the International category.
See the whole list here. The winners will be announced April 18 in New Orleans.

That is great to hear! I am so happy for Rebecca Rather on her cookbook success. Owning a couple of her cookbooks, and trying out several of her recipes, they are simple to follow, turn out great and are delicious! Well done!
