What a bummer to report that 4-year-old Davis Mountains Organic Beef, which raises 100 percent organic cattle, is going out of business. The e-mail notice says they will be closing their doors at the end of February, and they're cutting prices to close out their inventory: "In an effort to sell what we have left, we have discounted our ground beef, roasts and steaks up to 85 percent off. ... If you would like to purchase any of our beef, please place your order before the last week of February. Once an item is sold out, if will be removed from our Web site." You can order online at www.davismountainsorganicbeef.com or by phone at 1-877-366-2333. I've got calls in to see if I can find out more about why they're shuttering the business. I'll keep you posted. |
