I'm kinda sad not to see Bijoux on the list. I sure love that place!

I'm also sorry not to see Bijoux on the list. It definitely deserves a mention!

Margie and Lisa, I'm not sure Bill has made a foray to Bijoux yet. Since it was reviewed late in 2006 by Kim Harwell, it's not quite due for a revisit. But I know he has mentioned being eager to check out Bijoux for himself. So it's definitely on his radar, and my educated guess is that it's the kind of place he is likely to appreciate. Personally, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Bijoux on Bill's list of his Top 10 upscale faves for 2008. (It's definitely on my list already!)

Trader Vic's? All he waxed over in 3/4 of the *entire* review was the booze and the old decor?

TRADER VIC's?! Geeeez.

Hey from vacation in Maryland, gang --

Joyce got it exactly right. Haven't been to Bijoux yet (officially, anyway). Those upscale faves were based on update reviews I wrote in 2007. I'm still working my way through the top-rated restaurants in the area. A guy can only ingest so much foie gras.

In any case, I am most certainly looking forward to visiting Bijoux for an update review this year. I've heard that Scott Gottlich's five-star food has only gotten better since the restaurant opened last year.

Trader Vic's shouldn't be on the list, but it does have us talking.

I would put Kavala up there.

It completely escaped me that Bill hadn't reviewed Bijoux yet. I look forward to seeing what he thinks. Meanwhile, I need to check out some of these that I haven't tried on the 2007 list!

Hey Bill,
I have had three dinners at the Mansion on Turtle Creek this busy holiday season, each better than the next,The Chefs room is the most amazing experience i have ever had in Dallas.
It should be on your best of list, if not at the top !
The crowd is younger the rooms are beautiful when are we going to get your take on it ?

Hey Jack --

The Mansion overhaul will be up for the '08 list. Look for the review in the next two months ...

I agree with Jack,
The Mansion is back in a big way. The food is the best around. Trying the chefs room tomorrow night, hear it is amazing
Love the modern art too!

Tried Nonna on Saturday night. Reminded me of eating at intimate bistros in Florence and Rome in June. Superb menu, I thought well-priced- and a welcome addition to the Dallas dining scene. It is Italian food like I see in LA and New York.
