Top Chef is over, but the Food Network is offering another culinary reality show to fill the void. It's The Next Iron Chef, which should tell you everything you need to know about the plot and the end-of-show prize. Eight already top chefs -- no home cooks or hobbyists here -- compete; Alton Brown provides commentary and chairman Mark Dacascos will, I'm guessing, dramatically reveal the challenges like he does on Iron Chef America. The judges are Donatella Arpaia, Andrew Knowlton of Bon Appétit and Michael Ruhlman. |
