I just steamed some spinach, and you can use your fingers to grab the rings and lift it out of the hot pot. Now that's easy. It also rinses clean. I called around, and it's not in area stores yet, but you can find it online at chef's resource for $9.95. It also makes a nifty party hat. |
Here's something new for folks who steam their veggies: the Chef'n Sleekstor veggisteam silicon steamer basket. Instead of metal petals - which, in my experience, get pretty funky after repeated use - it's one solid piece with holes, on three little legs. And instead of a ring in the center, it's got a ring handle on each side. | |

I thought I saw that product or at least one very similar to it at Central Market recently.
