Dallas Fish Market -- which had a "soft opening" weeks ago -- is now "officially" open at 1501 Main St. in downtown Dallas (in the historic Kirby Building, Jeroboam's old space). As of this past weekend, it's open for dinner Monday-Thursday, 5 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 5 to 11 p.m. (Lunch service begins in September.) Reservations are recommended; call 214-744-3474 (mnemonically, 214-744-FISH), and valet parking is available on Akard Street. Chef Randy Morgan, formerly of the Russian Tea Room in New York and Oceanaire in Dallas, promises such marine delights as Maine lobster corn chowder, Alaskan halibut, wild salmon, sea bass and big eye tuna. Dallas Fish Market also offers a sushi menu and signature cocktails (such as a kafir lime lemonade martini and a berry bellini) as well as a wine list overseen by George Calderon. |
